Joshua Arnoldy is currently a Music Composition student at Kansas State University. He grew up in Downs, KS, a rural town in North Central Kansas. His love for music began in middle school after beginning to play the saxophone.
In high school, Joshua expanded his playing through every opportunity that presented itself. He was a member of the District Honor Jazz Band and District Honor Concert Band all four years. Joshua was selected for the Kansas All-State Honor Concert Band for three years, and sat as the principal saxophonists for one year. He also presented solo works for regional and state competitions, receiving the highest distinctions each year.
Joshua has and continues to participate in several ensembles at Kansas State University, including the Golden Apple Saxophone Quartet, Woodwind Ensemble, University Band, KSU Marching Band, Wind Symphony, and Wind Ensemble. In these ensembles, Joshua has played all of the four major saxophones, clarinet, and flute.
